How much do kitchen cabinets cost in Melbourne?
Flat-pack cabinets only, no benchtop or install: a small galley of 6 to 8 cabinets is $1,750 to $4,000, a medium L-shape of 10 to 14 cabinets $3,400 to $7,000, and a large U-shape with pantry $4,500 to $11,000 across Melbourne suppliers in 2026. Our melamine cabinets start at $169 for a 300mm base and $209 for a 600mm base with door, hinges and shelf, which puts an 8-cabinet galley at about $1,750 and a 14-cabinet L-shape at about $3,400. Kaboodle and IKEA average about $5,000 for a small L-shape.
Can I get a kitchen quote from photos without a site visit?
Yes. Send photos of the kitchen, the wall lengths in millimetres and, if you have one, a sketch or plan, and we return an itemised cabinet-by-cabinet price within one business day. It is free and there is no obligation. For Melbourne metro we then do a free on-site measure before anything is cut, so the quote from photos is a real number, not a starting point.
Is the on-site measure really free?
Yes, anywhere in metropolitan Melbourne, once you have a photo quote you are happy with. We measure every wall, check the corners (never square), find the pipes, check the floor is level, and confirm the list. If the measure changes the price you hear about it before you pay anything.
What is included in the cabinet price?
16mm white moisture-resistant carcass, 18mm door or drawer fronts in melamine, soft-close hinges or metal drawer runners, adjustable legs and shelves. Not included: handles, benchtop, kickboards and end panels (priced separately), appliances and installation.
Are the cabinets flat pack or assembled?
Flat pack unless you ask. Holes are pre-drilled and the cams are in, so a cabinet is 10 to 15 minutes with a screwdriver. If you would rather not, $25 a cabinet and they arrive built. Either way they are cut to your sizes, not fixed modules, so a 487mm gap gets a 487mm cabinet.
Do you install kitchens?
Cabinets are supply only. For Melbourne metro we can arrange installation through the renovation team we work with, including benchtop, plumbing and electrical reconnection, quoted as a separate line so you can compare it with your own tradie.
How long does a made-to-measure flat pack kitchen take?
About 10 to 15 business days from the confirmed measure to delivery for melamine, longer for 2-pac. Delivery across Melbourne metro is $89 flat.
Is a custom-size flat pack kitchen cheaper than IKEA or Kaboodle?
Usually about the same or cheaper, and it fits the room. IKEA and Kaboodle sell fixed widths, so odd gaps need filler panels; made-to-measure cabinets use the whole wall. On a small L-shape CHOICE priced Kaboodle at $4,980 and IKEA at $4,470 in cabinets; the same layout in our melamine range is about $3,400 with a pantry and two drawer banks included.
